11. Data Deletion & Account Deletion
You have the right to request deletion of your personal data and/or account at any time. We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing transparent data management options.
Delete in-app (Preferred)
The easiest way to delete your account is directly from within AloPortal:
- Log in to your AloPortal account
- Go to Settings → Account
- Select Delete Account (or Delete Portal if you only want to remove a specific portal)
- Confirm your request
Request Deletion via Email
If you cannot access your account, you can request deletion by email:

Please include the following information:
- The email address associated with your AloPortal account
- Your portal URL/slug (if applicable)
- Whether you want:
- (a) Full account deletion, or
- (b) Deletion of specific data only
What Gets Deleted
Depending on your request, we will delete the following data:
- Account profile (email, username, profile photo)
- Portals and portal settings
- Posts, course metadata, and comments
- Messages (or anonymized if applicable)
- Uploaded media stored by AloPortal (images, files, video assets)
What We May Retain
Certain records may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes:
- Payment and payout records required for legal, tax, and accounting compliance
- Fraud and security logs (limited retention period)
- Backup systems may retain data for a limited time before full removal
Processing Time
We aim to process deletion requests within 30 days of receiving a verified request. Full removal from backup systems may take up to 90 days.
