A 5-minute calm for busy days

A 5-minute calm for busy days

Five small steps you can do at your desk, in the car or before a hard conversation

You don't need a mat or an hour to feel calmer. You need five minutes and a little curiosity. Try this today, wherever you are.

1. Drop your shoulders

Let them fall away from your ears. Soften your jaw and unclench your hands.

2. Breathe in for four, out for six

A longer exhale tells your body it's safe. Repeat five times.

3. Feel your feet

Press them into the floor and notice the ground holding you up.

4. Name three sounds

Listen without judging. A car outside, a fan, your own breath.

5. Choose your next small thing

One sip of water, one stretch or one kind message. Then carry on with your day.
